Off topic 93 F150

I know a lot of you know about these so here goes. If it is too far out there delete it for me.
My dad's 93 F150 got wrecked in the front right so I ended up with it. It is a nice supercab with 80k miles on it and it WAS a cream puff.
Got most of the body work done and went to start it for the 1st time. It runs but when I pull the head light switch it kills the fuel pump and engine right away. When the engine is running with the light switch off the head lights just barely glow.
Some of the wiring was pinched above the right head light but I taped them up and none are touching. I did put a solenoid on it and it is a four pole instead of the original 3 pole. The inertia switch was popped but it reset.
If I turn the key on the pump runs all of the time until I turn off the key or pull the light switch out. The lights burn bright with the engine off but the right side is dimmer than the left.
Does this sound like a pure hard short to you? I have seen no smoke or smelt anything either. No fuses are popped.
Kind of got me at a stop here

That sounds like a bad Ground loop somewhere and it is finding/using ground connection where it shouldn't... Check your ground wires engine to cab and such to be sure they are not broken or loose. :2cents:

Right you are! I missed a ground on the right head light connection. It was pulling the ground away from the fuel pump.
Thanks
