Okay my 71 ford with the 360 is having a key issue.
I put the key in and the power comes on when I turn it to the "on" position. Then when I turn it to start I get nothing. Last time It did this I just unplugged the harness at the back of the tumbler knocked out the spider nest and it worked again. Trying to do the same it wouldn't work and putting diff directions of pressure one the plug on back of the tumbler it still won't fire up. New battery and no sound from starter at all. So time for a new key tumbler its the original. Also can I get tumblers from oreillys. Or autozone ex... ? Thanks guys

Re: Tumbler problem
Sounds like the ignition switch attached on the front of the ignition has gone south. The front disconnects from the key tumbler and can be replaced along with the wiring. The switch is available, but the wiring harness for a 67 may be more difficult to find. The plug often disingrates from heat and may need to be replaced. Check around with various vendors. The total cost at LMC for 1970 is about $21.

Re: Tumbler problem
it does sound like bad switch and not the key tumbler system. you can get just the switch without a key so the door locks match the ignition still. buy using your old tumbler and key.
