Who is making these now?
I have an older non-maintenance free one, it is suffering from disuse and lack of a trickle charger. It was made by "new castle battery" or something like that. Shortly there after I believe Turbo Start bought them and began making the maintenance free ones. I think Turbo Start went out of business?
Anyway, who is making them now, I see year one and Mustangs Unlimited seem to have them. They are very expensive, I don't really mind the money as long as they are at least as good as your normal high quality MF Battery (Interstate, Exide, DieHard, Delco, Motorcraft).

Funny, it looks like New Castle leads to Turbo Start which leads to Axion Power, but I can't find the Autolite on their site...

Maybe NewCastle does still make them, but you would think that they would put them on their website...
I actually had pretty good luck with this one but the new Maint-Free ones are apparently full AGM, that should be good...

Found this: Antique Auto Battery has the group 24FA Reproduction Autolite Batteries for, ouch, $240. I will e-mail you the #. I called them and they are still around. Hope this helps you in your quest.
I am going with a Optima when my Napa Battery goes, if not sooner. Had one in my 81 Ford truck and it lasted for 11 years. I use a Optima Deep cycl marine to run the alarm system at the cemetery matenance buildings. They are $$$$, but dependable, with a lot of crank.
