Re: From Bench to bucket seats
I bought the brackets locally from a guy that had had them made. I don't believe he was having any more made. I am sure you could fabricate some metal to work, since that is what I was going to do before I found the brackets. Those brackets sure made the install easy, they use the existing holes from the bench seat and their are dimples of indents showing where the inside brackets would go. I am not sure if the brackets from a bronco would work, I am sure someone on here will know. Changing to these seats is to date my favorite change I have made to this pickup...taylor351 wrote:Man that looks sharp.
Where did you get the brackets, off of ebay?
How hard would it be to weld or bend something of similar dimensons, for those who are unwilling to spend that kind of money?
Would 78-79 bronco bucket brackets work? ( I am sure that has been answered before but can't remember)
Not trying to hijack the thread but some of you guys get me jealous and I found a 79 bronco with black buckets at the pick and pull yesterday but no f(and I mean absolutly no) floorboards under the feet of passenger or driver.

What kind of 3pt seat belt did you use? Do you have any pics of it?

If I remember I got the setup from LMC and they work well. I will take a picture of the setup for you......tybob81 wrote:What kind of 3pt seat belt did you use? Do you have any pics of it?

Those seats look great. I am going to change the seating in my 68 one of these days. To bad my recliner won't work.
Of course ya don't want to be to comfortable while driving

They look great. I am kicking myself as I once had a set of original bucket seats and brackets for out trucks and traded them for some wheels. I sure wish I had them back. Nice truck. Tell us more about it. What engine and such.

You think that bad??cdeal28078 wrote:They look great. I am kicking myself as I once had a set of original bucket seats and brackets for out trucks and traded them for some wheels
I once left a set in a truck I scrapped because I couldn't justify storing them.
I knew they were rare , but that was before my days on Fordification.

Yes, that is the right stuff. I have been in out of the pickup many times and still no flaking or peeling.
