Post by fordguy63080 »

I am new to this forum, Hopefully i can get a question answered?. Its about the brake light-light just up from the emergency brake handle, It stays on all the time no matter what i do,Exactly what is it for, I thought it was to let you know that your emergency brake was on but they do not seem to be hooked together?.Any help would be appreciated
Thanks....fordguy

The dual brake warning light indicates an imbalance between front and rear brakes. You can reset it by centering the piston after fixing the brakes. It is a common problem. There are several threads on the subject.

Here's a thread where this was being discussed, and includes the directions from the factory shop manual on how to fix that.

Keith, if you ever decide to put in an FAQ section, this topic needs to be in it.
