Battery tip

Post by willowbilly3 »

I guess I had heard of this, just never had done it.
The old battery in the Harley wouldn't take a charge so I put aspirin in it and it rejuvenated.
I guess one aspirin in each cell on a car battery so I did a half. Charge and discharged it a couple times and now it starts the bike and holds a charge.
I have a Neverstart from Mal-wart I am going to try it on next.

I've heard of it several times but have never tried it. And have never heard anyone dispute or argue about it. :dk: Good luck.

Cool, I'll try that sometime. I've used the stuff in a bottle with no luck, maybe this'll be better.

I have never tried this either, but I have heard it works. I have also heard it's effects are temporary.

The aspirin stimulates the electrolyte by reacting with the sulfuric acid to form acetic acid. This is good for an emergency, but eventually could destroy the plates in the battery.

I just saved another truck battery, had one from the 92 that wouldn't hold a charge so I aspirined it and charged it. It is working fine in my crewcab now for a couple weeks.
