New Wiring Harness

Who has the best harness in regards to ease of installment. I was thinking about getting a painless but another thread brought up a few more that sound good but Painless is the one I hear the most about. So which harness is the easiest to install for a novice?

From what I have been reading, most kits are fairly basic. I mean, they are all labeled every 6 inches ON the wire. I ordered a rebel-wire harness (posting pics in the other thread shortly) and I am suprised at the quality, it seems really nice just looking at it and all. I plan to install it this weekend, given pulling the old harness and installing this one should be a 2-3 day straight job. I hope anyways.

I will keep you updated. Or atleast through my project thread.

I appreciate it. I saw your post but I didn't want to Hijack. Your thread was the one that got me thinking about other options because I have always been told painless was the best and easiest to replace.

Got a Painless in the 69. Easy installation, wires labeled every 8-12 in. Manual is decent to work with.

I installed a Painless harness in a 36 chevy street rod I had in a previous life. It was well made and relatively easy to install. I was very happy with the end result.

Im with you layedout72, I would have to believe that any "name brand" wiring harness would be acceptable. Nothing could justify a $500 spread.

EZ wire kits are supposed to be nice stuff for the budget minded guy. Looks like it comes with the majority of the plugs as well.

I think I am going to go with painless. Might be a little more expensive but I think it's worth it. Now any suggestions as to who to buy it from?

I had a freind get one from EZ Wiring for his '39 Dodge PU street rod...
He swears by them... and recomends them to anyone...

With the Painless Kit for our trucks work with an electronic ignition or would I need to get one for a different year?
