Need help tracking down a good place to find replacement spindles for my 1968 F100 2 wheel drive (I checked the for sale section). No I'm not swaping to a 1973 - * disk setup. I already installed a Scarebird disk setup. So I need the stock spindle. When I had a shop press my frozen king pins out they used a nut as a press die. Which buggered up the threads for the grease caps. When I try to grease the king pins either caps pop off, or it just shoots out of the threads. This has caused the king pin lower bearing to not be greased, and froze up after this last winter. I did not notice the damage the shop did until it was far to late.
I have played with the idea of using a tap to chase the threads, but can't figure out what size & type of tap to use.

Wow! But not surprising.
Just keep looking at parting-out places.

Let me look around. I am half way thru converting my 68 to front disc. I think I have what you need. I am pretty sure I kept the old one's.
68 Ranger. 302 Clevor w/ 3 on tree, soon to have front disc brakes.
