I have a flexomatic HD rear leaf spring on my F250 and trying to get new bushings all around.
Can anyone confirm that all bushings are the same in this type of rear spring? (spring eye front/rear and shakle)
I measured on all 4 bushings 0.62" ID 1.38" OD and 2.7" width.
Rockauto sells bushing from acdelco with 1.4" OD and from moog with 1.38" OD. Is there really a diffenrence or is it just a description issue?
LMC has no measurements on their site an they are selling 3 diffenrent bushings for one spring but I can´t find any diffenrences in my bushings.
Appreciate any help!
Cheers from Germany
Chris

Re: leaf spring bushings
I just replaced mine with some polyurethane bushing from Energy Suspension. All were the same exact size.
Only difference is mine is and F100 not a 250 but still the Flex O Matic spring.
Here is a link to what I bought. Maybe it will help.

Re: leaf spring bushings
I got the same ones. You do need to remove the old metal sleeves from the spring eyes. Page 2 in my build thread shows how I did it. http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... 5&start=15

Re: leaf spring bushings
I agree they were all the same size on my F100.
Germany is pretty strict, The poly may not be an option, but if they are, they work well and the black ones don’t stick out like a sore thumb.

Re: leaf spring bushings
Thanks all
To be honest I‘m not a fan of poly bushings. I‘ll try to get rubber replacements.
Just wondering that one (1) moog bushing costs about 30$
I think I will order the complete set from LMC for about 75$.
@Randy:
Thanks for your advice to remove the bushings. I‘ll give it a try.
Cheers
