i have a 68 f100 short bed & looking to replace the steel wheels that were put on by previous owner.
i do have the original wheel covers but they do not fit the wheels that are on now.
would like to have the option to take the wheel covers off & it still be right look / style for 68.
i've seen the vintiques 62 series & may go with that option... just thought i'd check here for any input first.
thanks!

Re: 1968 wheels?
thanks basketcase0302!
i did find em at summit as well. you think these are the closest option to the original 68 wheels?
i found a used set at a shop here, but they have been sitting outside for years & completely rusted.
need to be sandblasted & repainted - not sure it's worth it.

Re: 1968 wheels?
I took an old set of split rims and sandblasted then powdercoated-just to keep the OEM look.
Guess it depends on how stock you want to keep the truck?

Re: 1968 wheels?
i've been to several used wheel shops & salvage yards looking for the OEM wheels.
i found a set of 4, went to get em installed & 3 of em are warped.
then found 3 more & 2 ended up being warped.
how common is it for these to be warped, or is it just my bad luck?
the wheel shop says they can work on em to get em straight again.
but they probably all need to be sandblasted & painted too.
just trying to decide if it's worth it to go thru all of that when i could just get a set of the wheel vintiques.
would rather have OEM... just trying to make the best decision since this will be a 1 time thing.
thanks!
