Tim
There is a how to section (a couple of pages) in the back of the dennis carpenter catalog. This may help it shows how to replace the door weatherstrips and the rubber around the vent window. I just repalced the window runs and the belt felts. Although I didn't replace or take apart the vent window seal area these pages should still help. If I remember right it talked about drilling out a couple of rivits or welds to actually take the vent frame apart.
I don't have the book in front of me I am just going off of two day old memory?

This info can be viewed online at dennis-carpenter.com
Look under download online catalog 67-72 ford trucks. I think the info is on page 129 of 138 in the catalog

re: Vent windows
Mark Im familiar with the info in the catalog from D/C what i would like to know is how to remove the stuff that holds the actual vent glass in the frame its like a rubber like stuff that sets the glass and is there a replacement metal frame for the glass only because the stub that holds the vent lock handle is missing need to address this not sure what to do about this.

re: Vent windows
Wish I could help you on the removal of the glass, but I've never tried doing that. You could always just replace the vent window assembly...I've got several of those laying around, if you're interested.
