Temp sending unit

Temp sending unit
Anyone else have problem when going to the parts store to locate a sending unit for your 390? Everyone they gave me either the threads wouldn't work or the post was too small. I'm working with a 1969

No. I have a 1970 390. What kind of intake do you have? What do you mean by the post is too small? The threaded electrical connection post, or the extension of the sender that sticks down in the intake?
