I was messing with my wiring and a wire snapped off this thing I think it's a condenser? It goes from my ignition coil to this thing.
I also noticed there is another one of these things grounding out on my voltage regulator
I do have an extra one from an old voltage regulator; so my question is are they the same and can I interchange them?
Not sure what this is

Re: Not sure what this is
I've used one that was supposed to be for the points condenser (352 condenser) and nothing seemed to change. I'd say go for it

I've ran my 351W for years without the one on my ignition coil and I've ran my 390 for years without the one on the VR. They are there to keep noise out of the AM radio. Without them you'll likely get noise. They should have no effect on engine performance. Yes, they are condensers (capacitors). I'm not sure if they are all the same capacitance though.

If that's all they are for I'll just make it work. Thanks for the tips guys!
