I had someone replace the dash lights for me, and now the temp gauge and the fuel gauge are pegged. Seams when the key is turned on the fuel gauge seams to work (based on what I remember how much gas was in there) then when I start the truck they peg out. The truck also seams to cut off for a second here and there like it wants to shut off..
any thoughts?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Re: Fuel gauge --please help
check the power pin for your instrument cluster. On my '68 it is pin 3 on the cluster connector. see if you have voltage there with key on. while you have that disconnected, check to make sure they did not mash a couple pins when they put the cluster back in. Temp indicator is pin 4 and fuel is pin 5. If you have no mashed pins and power when the key is on, you got some-ting skwooie goin' on. (Elmer Fudd-ese if you didn't get that.)
Hope this helps!

When in doubt, hit the gas. It may not be the right answer, but at least it ends the suspense!!
