Factory Air

Post by 68rookie »

My truck came with original factory air and is currently not working. Before I go to the trouble of getting it up and running was just curious to know from those of you that have it, is it any good? Does it do a good job, do you need a special radiator etc??????

I rebuilt a factory AC unit and installed in my 69. It works great as there isn't much space to cool.

If your truck came with factory air, it should already have the heavy- duty radiator and fan. My truck did not have AC but it did have the HD cooling. I replaced the 5-blade fan with a 6.

The radiator that originaly came with the truck was shot so I replaced it with a generic that fit from Advanced Auto. What Radiator should I have if I going to get the A/C running?
