Wiring the MSD 6AL
I am currently running a duraspark dizzy and MSD 6AL box. I currently have the small red wire on the msd box wired to the original coil wire coming from the ignition switch and the truck runs fine. This is on my 67 F250 and I think the original coil wire is a resistor wire and didn't know if this would harm the box or will this just not allow the MSD to work at full potential.

Re: Wiring the MSD 6AL
The original resister wiring in our truck will not deliver a full 12 volts to the box and could be an issue.
It's not really that hard to run a new 14 gauge wire from the ignition out to the box-I would to be sure the box it's getting 12 volts as it should.
