Help! Overdrive solenoid is popping fuses
I have run through the troubleshooting of the Borg Warner overdrive. I get voltage from the relay when I ground the governor & the relay clicks in like it's supposed to. I bench tested the solenoid & it works fine with no overheating when I jump it straight on the battery. When I hook everything up & test it the fuse always blows. I used a 30 amp a few times & all the wires get hot. I'm getting a steady 12 volts & I guess the ground is good it lights up my test light with no flickering & my fluke meter shows good steady voltage. I checked the amps on the solenoid, when it first engages it jumps up to 25 amps then it goes immediately down to 1 amp when the rod is out.
