wiring problems- never mind fixed it

Post by spencekinard »

My '66 Gulfstream 428 would not charge so I replaced the alternator and regulator. Still wouldn't charge but it started, ran, and shut off just fine. I ran the boat for a few months (charging the battery's in between each use) this way since it would run, just wouldn't charge. Ended up replacing the regulator connector and wiring to the alternator, switch and relay. Everything works just fine. It starts, gauge read good, runs like a champ, however it just won't shut off. Help!
