Quick question about coil voltage
Is it normal to be getting 10.3v at the ignition coil with key on or should i be seeing 12v?

Re: Quick question about coil voltage
Well, it depends. are you running breaker points and condenser ignition, or after-market electronic ignition? If you are running the original breaker points style a voltage drop is normal and essential. full 12vdc to a condenser severly reduces its service life. If you have electronic ignition, most manufacturers recommend the full 12vdc for the ignition system.
