Truck not getting any power, bad electrical

So I'm in the process of trying to fix up my new 69 f250.

I'm still trying to find out exactly what this thing has got going on in it. Engines a 302, I was told it was out of a mustang but when I bought the alternator it was from a 78 bronco.

The wiring does not look stock at all, not only does it not look stock, it has just been twisted here, taped over there, just a mess!

Anyways the truck ran, I drove it home but it died twice on the way home and I got 2 jumps from my bro. The next day I went to oreillys and bought:

Cap and rotor
Plug wires
Plugs
External voltage regulator
Starter solenoid
Alternator
Battery
New battery cables
Ignition coil

After installing this stuff back up now the car doesn't get any power to it. Battery is brand new and charged but I'm getting no power.

I plan on going through the engine bay electrical and fixing it all because it's a wreck. But I would like to get this truck into my yard which is up a slight hill, don't really wanna push it, so I would like to get this thing to drive about 20 feet. Regardless of that can anyone tell me what I'm looking at here?

Which diagram do I follow? 69?
Any ideas as to why the car is not getting power.
Also there is a little box that has 3 yellow wires pluging into it, anybody know what it is? I didn't see it on the 69 diagram. Could it be a starter relay switch from I believe a 78 harness?
Also there was a gauge ammeter next to the starter solenoid, which I believe was hooked up to nothing, so I removed it.

The distributor Is a regular points distributor.

So the truck works, drove it home. Changed out those parts and connected everything back to the way I remember and now it's getting no power.

On my truck with a 360, there is a black wire (with a yellow stripe) attached to the battery terminal on the solenoid. That wire supplies power to LOTS of stuff inside the truck including the ignition switch and (I believe) the fuse box. I don't see that wire in the photos. I suspect that might be the problem. Of course, given that you think the wiring is not exactly stock, it could be that someone found a "better" place to connect that wire. In any case, look for the wire both under the hood and under the dash - It will be one of the larger wires in the harness. Without it, you probably won't be going anywhere without a push.

I agree with 68RGR your missing the bigger black wire that goes from your starter solenoid to the hot on your alternator. I have a 67 and this is what mine looks like.

I was wondering what that 3 prong bulkhead is for? I can't seem to find it on the wiring diagrams. Then there was a broken ammeter right on top of that little box the one that looks like some type of regulator.

Do I need these? What are they? Thanks!

If it's what I think you're asking, it's a voltage regulator. Secondly, when you say no power, what happens when you turn the key? Do you hear the solenoid click?

Looks like someone replaced the power wire from the battery to the solenoid but not from the solenoid to the Starter. Check the connection at the Starter I've seen these come loose and corroded. Also check the Negative cable at the engine block as these also come loose and corrode.

The 3 prong plug by the battery is the horn relay.

i agree with tac it is a horn relay. The flatish gray thing behind the grill, about the size of a wallet, is the voltage relay
