Identify this wire please

Post by SecondCamperSpecial »

I was doing a durasapark conversion and noticed this fuse hold broken and not attached . Where does it go or what is it hooked to?

From what little I can tell...it's location & color.....it's either a horn related wire or voltage regulator related wire. Both systems have yellow wires in the factory wiring. It also could be something a PO installed. That's about all I can guess. Check the wiring diagrams here...

Five bucks says it goes to the amp gauge. There should be a red one with a similar fuse holder nearby. One will be attached to the battery post on the starter solenoid, and the other spliced in where the alternator charge wire and the main cab power wire meet.

Amp gauge does not work. Might be that.

You can't just go by that, because the amp gauge doesn't really move anyways. Check for continuity between it and the yellow wire at the back of the amp gauge to actually test it.
