right brakelight and turn signal not working

Post by caseyj10 »

just finished up my mustang tanks swap. everythings ready to go back on and of course something has to go wrong. my right(passanger) taillight will not light up when the brake is pressed or when i turn on the turn signal. the runing light turns on and the left light works perfectly. Id like some help troubleshooting the problem. where should i check first? which wires control the tail light and turn signal? dont why the left would stay on but is there a fuse that could have blown? any help will be appreciated.

Check the bulb and clean the ground first.

Bulb is fine. What ground are you talking about? I was scared I forgot to hook something up.

Found the problem. The green power wire is messed up somewhere between the cab and the rear of the frame.

Glad you would the problem. The light grounds to the bed with the attaching screws. Just make sure everything is clean when reassembling.
