No click anything?
Here is the deal. Today I got in the truck to go for ride. As soon as I turned the key it clicked(like a dead battery) but it then started. Didn't think anything about it,put it off as a loose cable. Went to store and turned it off. When I went to start it,there where no click no dragging starter, not even a noise of any kind. First thought battery was dead. Got new battery, still no start. Turned on radio,no power, headlights no power. The truck has almost new cables and have never had any symptoms or warnings that anything was about to die. So what should I check to find out why I am not getting power from battery to anything. I am puzzled.Noticed the positive cable and post were hot, thought about the switch, but that would not keep any of the lights from working would it. Any ideas please.

Wire #37 should be your fusible link I believe to the main fuse panel. I'd look at the end terminal, (usually has an eyelet type that attaches to the solenoid hot battery cable side) real good. Would also visit that battery cable you spoke of as being hot usually indicates a loose or bad connection. Also make sure the solenoid is grounded to the inner fender well-it has to be to enable the truck to start. Also look real good at your grounds:
1) Battery to engine block
2) Intake manifold to firewall
3) Radiator support to front frame rail

Re: No click anything?
I got it going. The screws for the solenoid wouldn't tighten down. Put in some bigger screws and got it tightened down real good and it fired right up. Didn't think the solenoid would keep power from going to lights or radio. So if it was not the real problem I guess I will find out at the most inconvenient time
,But I hope it is fixed. Thanks for help

If you look at the circuit and think about it the mounting screws for the solenoid carry the ground for the circuit at that point. So if it didnt have a good ground there none of the power could flow past it.
