Is it normal for the ignition switch to get hot?

Post by lasereyes »

Was just wondering if that's a normal thing or if I have some other wiring issues. I must be having a bad week, can't seem to find anything on searches. :fr:

it can get warm. but to get hot soemthing is wrong. the resistor wire coming from the switch can cause this if it gets too hot. it can melt the plug. it could be the prongs in th eplug are loose and need to be pinched down a slight to make them tight with the switch spades or bullets.
