ok went to Lowe's to pick up a propane torch attachment so just the torch attachment was 11.99 and the torch kit that also came the torch and a bottle of propane was only 12.99 what is up with that

Don't know but hope you spent the extra dollar for the whole kit.

yes i bought the kit. I may have made a C in economics but i do know the value of a dollar and when i can get a bottle of propane for a dollar more than paying th 3-4 that the bottle would cost.

if they had the kit with the map gas i would have bought that. map gas burns hotter. but they do it that way because they want to sell more of the bottles. and the shipping to them is probably better when selling the kits so they make a better profit from the kits. i need to get me a new torch myself.
