Neat crew cab! That's about the condition my bump was in one year ago. I know what you mean by "diamond in the rough". I see a lot of potential with this truck.

I like the bed too. Very useful, especially if you put a slide in camper on top.
When I was a kid we had an Alaskan pop up that we slid in the utility bed of my dads truck. He kept all the shelves lined with carpet, and it worked great to hold all the stuff that normally clutters the camper. Lots of room for all the gear :)

Great find on the truck. I'll look forward to following along in the projects forum.

BEAST!!!!!1

WOAH, is that flarside bed i see under the toolboxes! Look at the step on the drivers side that the toolbox is practicly sitting on, and the bedrails. That thing would be killer with the original short flareside bed!
So apparently, what they did was they took the flareside bed, and made use of all the empty space around the flare with toolboxes!

The color doesn't look USFS to me, but lacking a DSO# is a good sign it was a fleet ordered rig.

All the fleet/gov ordered bumps I've had lacked DSO#'s and were canadian built.

That's the first thing I noticed when I saw it. I just wonder if the flareside fenders are under there or if they were removed to make room for the tool boxes.

If they are gone you could find some stock replacement fenders and probably just bolt them in place of the boxes if you wanted to. Either way, very cool truck!

I agree that the color does not look like the FS scheme. Looks like a PO remove fenders and put the tool boxes on. IFO, a flareside box would look good.

Looks like you have some work to do on the right side.

Anyway, great buy and absolute great price!!
