My big brother got in a wreck

Post by blue68 »

Two fridays ago, my older brother was pushed headon into a dumptruck when driving his fully restored '79 dentside. (not his fault)

My brother spent about a week in the hospital (LOTS of stitches/broken bones, etc), but he's going to be fine thank GOD!! Prayers have surely brought him through. He's just got a long recovery, and is going to be out of work for awhile.

As much as we love our trucks, this makes me realize that there is no price on human life. As a younger brother, you have no clue how scared I was to get the phone call!

I just wanted to show you guys some before/after shots also!

Glad to hear that your brother will be alright. Sorry to see such a beautiful truck ruined as well, good luck convincing him to buy a bump, that'd be one choice he'd never regret for sure 8).

its amazing how something can happen so quickly to make you realize how insignificant a truck really is. glad to hear that your bro is ok.

Wow, that's a bummer but at least it's only a truck and not a life. Is that a forehead shot into the windshield? What was pushing him to do that much damage?

The dimple in the windshield was from his fist (he stuck his fist out to try to let it take some impact rather than his 'noggin)

Someone pulled out onto him (literally). It was sort of a t-bone ordeal. It was a 3-lane highway (turning lane in the middle). The car that pulled out on him pushed him into the turning lane where a dumptruck was, waiting to turn.

As much time and effort that was put into the truck, it is a bummer, but with insurance and etc, all will be fine. But still, there will never be another one just like this one, which stinks.

The trooper said that if he were in his mustang, he would have been decapiatated  Good thing he was driving a tank

Prayers for the bro on his recovery and everyone affected. Now, when he's finally feeling better, and gets a bump, make sure he joins us over here

Thank God your brother is okay. He can restore another classic Ford, but you can't replace your family.
