Made my own dog kennel

Post by FordJW »

Since the 2 labs go almost eveywhere I go I needed a kennel to take them with me. I contemplated a kennel made in the US as well as here in the Netherlands, but in the end decided to build one myself. Here is the result:

Because we have a wet climate I made some covers to prevent reain entering the kennel all too easy. When the dogs are with me one is used:

When they aren´t traveling with me both openings can be covered:

 Looks great FordJW. Whats it made of I cant quite tell, I would think its made of wood to keep it light. Gotta say our dogs go great with our trucks. Thats always a sight when I come out of a store and my dog is excited that Im back hoping all around in the bed. :D I like the flap that covers the doors good thinking on that one.

Thanks. It is made of a water resistant kind of plywood, all in all still heavy, but it can be removed with 2 people.

I like to take the dogs with me lose in the bed, and the dogs prefer it that way too, but regulations prevent me from driving in public like that.

Yes they are made of copper tubing, I am thinking of painting these black.
