Just hang on. If you wait a minute it wil pass. Menthol cough drops may help a little. I stayed in bed for two days to keep from killing somebody.
Once you get to two or three days, remember it's easier to stay quit than to quit again.
Good luck!

Go work on the bump, try to keep busy.

Or you can keep a water bottle around and suck on that instead.

Am I a hypocrite for smoking while writing this?

I have no experience with smoking and trying to quit. Thanks to my Dad. But I suspect it's not unlike other things in life. The more you try to forget about it the more you think about it. I agree with what knightfire says, keep busy or at least keep your mind occupied with something other than quiting. I wish you all the best.

best of luck to you, Ive quit two times and now im smoking again but im going to be quiting for the last time may 1st. The best thing i can tell you is to not let something or someone get on your nerves because it seems like a smoke is the only thing that will calm you. And im sure you already know this but dont drink because that will make you smoke faster than anything.

Good luck man. I think like everyone else has kinda said, try to reward yourself somehow when you don't smoke. If you smoke indoors or in your car, try to make that completely off limits, this way the "aroma" of smoking will have a chance to evacuate your place, which will help reduce the craving.
