Gauges

Post by tcope »

My truck had aftermarket temp and oil pressure gauges, so of course the gauges in the stock cluster do not work. It possible to get the ones in the cluster working too? I know it is kind of redundant and kind of redundant ( :P ) to do this, but I would like to have the ones in the cluster working. I mean, why have them there if they don't work ?!? I guess I could just get rid of them altogether........

Would just splicing the wire affect the accuracy of the reading?

Thoughts please? 8)

I don't believe the splice would hurt the readings as long as you used the same guage wire. If the gauges themselves don't work, I believe LMC has replacements.

I have had dual gauges on more than one truck. Mine had a tee which held both the factory sender and the aftermarket sender. One electric and one mechanical.
