Out of town work--not again this year--R.I.P John Harry Mann

Post by 67mann »

As some of you know--due to parts wanted from me and parts I want and still want--I've been out of town working for the past two weeks. I told the company---No more, now is not a good ( http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... eping+role )time as my father's condition has continued to decline and we have been looking at Nursing Homes. It's not the option I wanted at first, but its not fair to my mother and is only dragging her down to. He's to the piont where he does'nt even recognize her as his wife and if it wasn't for the fact of me being around more than my sisters(which he already believes he has no daughters)are---I don't beleive he would know me :( . I have explained this to my company--(last yr--I was in Mechanicsburg PA for 8 months)that out of town is not an option right now,but local work is slim. It's hard to turn down work in this day and age,but ya gotta take care of your family---Right? without that
what goods a pocket full of money---I can get by with local work--but a lot less $$. The bar fell though( http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... t=business ) maybe a good thing

My father passed away last night(for the best) after a bad bout with Alztimerers(a few other complications)for the last couple of years. It is a weird blessing to us--for he hasn't known my mother or any of my sisters or me since sometime back before he went in the home. For those of you OLD enough Raise a toast(the Old man was a Black Label lover) to Jack(my Dad)and rest assured I 'll cover the rest of the young'ens

Sorry to hear that Jerry. Yeah, stick around for a bit and do local work as long as you can get by on it. There will be time to make up the money later, but the time for your Dad is right now.

Jerry,

There's a lot of new Alzheimer's medications and treatments around these days that will ease your burden.
We're all gonna be there someday, just some quicker than others.

God Bless
