What other vehicles had the same radio?
I've been looking in the junkyards but having no luck finding an original AM radio to fit my 68. It dawned on my that maybe other Fords had the same radio. I assume probably the vans did, but does anyone know if other vehicles had the same one?

re: What other vehicles had the same radio?
I honestly don't know what other radios will fit....that's an excellent question. I might have to go digging in my Hollander manuals tonight and see if those are listed. It would definitely be some good info to put on the site.
However, I spent the day in the shop yesterday getting things cleaned up and taking a LOT of pictures of parts that I'll be offering for sale here on the site for a week, and then E-bay-ing anything left over. I've got a radio from a parts truck, but I can't tell you how well/if it works. It was one of the parts I was getting ready to list....$20 + shipping.
It's a little dusty from sitting in a parts truck and then sitting on a shelf in the shop for a year or so, but it's complete and the chrome is good.
I also have an AM/FM/8-track that came from another parts truck. This one has the bezel widened slightly to fit it in. I bought this truck from a friend, who says he was listening to it when he wrecked it. It was parked in a field and sat there for a few years. $30 + shipping. PM me if you're interested in either of these.

re: What other vehicles had the same radio?
I gave up trying to find out what else will fit and got an aftermarket AM/FM unit from LMC Truck. It is a perfect fit into the stock bezel...comes with FORD script.......has modern electronics...and plays well.Think it was about $125.00 but woth the peace of mind.I also got the single"stereo" speaker from LMC that is an exact fit for the original stock dash location.OK,so its not real stereo but at least I didn't have to butcher the doors or kickpanels .
