Word of caution Loren...
Be careful when you actually plug the socket onto the bulb-the ceramic can break a lot easier than our original plastic type.
How would I know this? :hw:

I'll follow the instructions provided here by 390Nut to upgrade the headlight wiring - http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... =a#p132255 - looks simple enough and use a circuit breaker recommended later in the thread. I got a free floor dimmer switch from my next door neighbor, Mike, in Ft. Lauderdale when I bought a passenger front fender from him... met his pops also. They convinced me to stay with the stock dimmer switch.

What tool do you use to release the terminals from the sockets? I was thinking of using a Lisle 56500, but saw this OTC 7743.

I was gonna' go there-but didn't...
OTC 7743 will be a good one to use throughout the trucks harness. :2cents:

I got the headlights working... replaced the ground wires, floor dimmer switch, and changed to another headlight switch that was already in the truck. Also, dome light works... didn't even touch it. I'll definitely get to upgrading the headlights with relays and larger wire later in the future. There are more important issues to get the truck in driving safely and more reliable.
