i've got one of his harnesses from way back and never installed it even though i have been through three bumps since then. i want to put it in my 61 but it will need some modifications to work because of the headlight bucket design of the 61 only trucks. i feel guilty for not moving faster.

i can tell my face to face friends to "piss off", but i always feel guilty when i let my fordification friends down like this.
if i ever make it over to the other side of the state i'll buy lunch amigo. or if you ever make it over here close to jayhawk country you can buy me lunch.

Re: Cool headlights
Mate I bought a similar set off Flea Bay sometime ago for my Valiant Charger.....I guess they all come from China and mine just weren't that great in terms of their reflective properties. They also came with those blue H4's that looked nice but didn't make a great deal of light. Even when I added newer and better bulbs, they weren't that flash.
I'm sure many shops sell many different types of these - just the ones I got weren't as good as I had hoped...Looks great though - those angel eye parkers are kinda cool in blue
Then I got a stone that hit one dead center and smashed it, the angel eyes days were numbered from the start I guess!

Re: Cool headlights
Yeah, Chris was yakking at me. I wasn't trying to stick it to him though.
Looks like the DTRL's and the halo lights have different leads, so you can kind of hook them up as you wish. It all depends on what you want, how you want them switched, when you want whatever lights to turn on, there are a bunch of different ways you could do it. Personally I would hook it up so the DTRL's turn off when the main headlights are turned on (my own preference), and with the way those are wired it would be easy to do either way with a relay setup. Looking at the LMC harness, I'm betting you would have to add another relay of some sort and cut/splice wires to make it work that way.
Is there anything in the box they came in (or on the box itself) that shows the amperage rating for the DTRL's and the Halo's (or the wattage)? I am guessing the halo's are probably a minimal draw, but I'm guessing the DTRL's are probably a lot more. I wouldn't wire them into the same power feed circuit as the headlights, as you'll lose light output if they are on when the headlights are on.

To be honest i didn't get anything stating the wattage ect. I just emailed them and asked. I have a few ideas on how i want to hook it up. 1). Have a separate switch for the dtrl so I can turn them off and on whenever. 2). Hook up the DTRL as a turn signal and have the halos on with the headlights. 3). Don't hook up the DTRL and just have the halo and headlight hooked up. got a few days to decide until my harness gets in.

You probably got the same ones that i do. Ithe ones I have are sold by various companies/people. I got my for 44 bucks plus shipping. By no means am i expecting them to last forever. Just somthing for now and maybe when money falls in my hands, i will get a high quailty set. Any headlight is bound to break.

So i got the wiring harness in today. Currently hooking it up now. Cant figure out how to hook up the halos. Should i cut into the light harness?

Re: Cool headlights
How does the LMC harness hook into your trucks headlight circuit? I would connect them before the relay assemblies, I imagine they take very little voltage and the relays are only using your trucks harness as a trigger, so you should have plenty of juice to power the halos. Figure out which you want to hook them too, high or low beams. If you try to hook them up to both circuits you'll need a diode on both circuits to prevent feedback into the opposite circuit. (into the high beam circuit when the low beams are on and vice/versa). You could wire them into the rear running light circuit, but the tail lamps might get a bit dim depending on how much juice the halos take.
FWIW I wouldn't cut/modify the LMC harness in any way. Just in case you need to send it back for any reason.

What I did originally was cut into the marker/parking lights but, that didn't go as planned. so I used the old headlight 3 prong clips/sockets ( cut them and added the halos). kinda sounds light a mess but, I am no electrical guru. Might I say I am proud that I accomplished this. even though most of you, it is second nature. Installing the harness itself was cake! My only downfall was I should have detached the grill or part of it to totally hide that yellow wire. For now it is suitable, As I have bigger issues to address. I did not cut the LMC harness (thought about it, but didn't.) What I would have liked to do and probably will do, is have the Halos set up where there on with the parking/marker lights (if that makes any sense). as of now the Halos and headlight is on at the same time. i didn't not hook up the DTRL. Here is a pic of the lights in. Excuse the crooked ness of the lights as i have to fix that problem.

That is very minimal draw. You could run the halos off the headlight circuit if you wanted, with minimal loss of output on the main bulbs.

This is what mine look like. I have to adjust them (there kinda crooked.) Doesnt help when the screws are rusted out where you attach the headlight socket to.
