I like steak too. One thing that is really good is corn on the cob over a charcoal pit. :drool: I can't come to this topic anymore since it depresses me that I can't grill. It sounds soo good though. I think we should start this again in summer time when we can all share recipies and grill. Sounds like a plan to me. I want some pulled pork that just melts in your mouth :cry:

MMMMMMMMM, real food!! I can almost smell it through my screen....

I love to get some fat boneless steaks, and cover both sides with pepper and salt, then slap them on the grill for 5-10 minutes each side. Served with crumbled fetta cheese on top and a foiled up tater with chives and sour cream with a tastey salad piled high next to it all.

Now wheres my beef stew MRE?

Heck guys, it's not too cold to grill. As long as I can still shovel a path through the snow to the grill, I'm good to go.

aint that the truth. any time of the year down here in Ga is a good time to grill, my welding class cooks out every Friday, we all get to school an hour early just to fire up the grills, besides, not only will the fire warm the food, its gonna keep you warm too right? who said grilling can only be done in the summer?

I smoked 16 pork butts 2 weeks ago when there was 15" of snow on the ground and more on the way. The Postal Service ain't got snot on my dedication to the meatly arts. Hell, I even grilled steaks in the shop on the little Smokey Joe grill during hurricane Isabelle. There were a few tense moments when it sounded like somebody dropped a bump load of gravel on the tin roof but, other than that, we had a great time. The guy across the street told me a few days after that he'd heard the power transformer blow several times during the storm. I said "that wasn't the transformer, that was me shootin a 30-30 over your roof at the storm."

It's supposed to be fairly nice this weekend. I'm thinking whole chickens, stuffed with oranges and apples, rubbed with a basil-oregeno rub, 3 hours open then 2 wrapped in foil and butter basted every 30 minutes.

Chops, Burgers and Steaks all year long... But I throw something different in everytime... Actually broiled a goat on a disc last weekend. mmm,mmm...

about anything is good grilled. I mainly like burgers, pork chops, hotdogs, steak and stuff

I like grillin on charcoal and using a smoker, but those all night smokin's and grillin at 2 am are over for me since I got married a year and a half ago. So right now I've got propane. It's quick at times, but is just as much a science to cook your meat properly as the 'coal. My lava rocks are starting to build up some flavor now. When I cook chops I like to use a dry rub, I pick up 'soul food seasoning' at the grocery store and it really helps hold in the moisture. When cooking rib eyes, they don't get any seasoning, just am real careful I don't overcook them, once I pull them off the grille I'm quick to cover with foil to let them continue to cook and retain their juices. Now about the beer butt chicken. When my wife requests it, she tells me I will have to go get a 6 pack, the rest is history. Is that done yet? Almost! I'm getting hungry. tnbumper
