Whuts up with that Dorman site??? They have the part I need, but u can't order unless your a parts dealer or whutever it said. R they not open to thne gen. public?

Any good parts store should be able to get it for you if they don't stock it.

Mustangs Unlimited also carries them but they are reproductons for the mustang crowd and are expensive...

I think it's called a heat stove repair kit.
Hawkrod described how it all works so make sure you have the pipe coming out the other side of the manifold that sucks clean air from the carb airhorn. They use to use a heat proof red vacuum hose on it iirc.

dorman iz the only place I have seen online to have that kit, checked the stores, think imma go to elec choke......pisses me off

when you sign up sign up as a dealer. and then order it. i have done that before. if they ask for a tax number give them a load of numbers about 10-12 of them. they may never know the difference. oh and hey.

Ok still not luck on being able to find the replacement heater tube? :( Called the local Ford dealer today, they said negative try Napa. Did that they have no part # for that whatsoever. I have tried n tried to research this thing everywhere.....anybody no of any other place or of any other fixes????

You might find what you need on page 120 of the National Parts Depot online early mustang catalog.

Also by searching "choke tube" on Mustangs Unlimited . com,

If those fail try inline tube . com or classic tube .com.

I really can't believe you are having such trouble finding one. Any Kragen, Auto Zone, Schucks, or NAPA should have them in their dorman Help section. I know ours does, I saw it today. Hawkrod
