I got my truck pained several months ago and am ready to apply the first coat of wax. It is painted Rangoon Red with a good quality Base-Clear. What kind of wax should I use? Thanks.

re: Type of Wax
DT, Does the 3M product provide much protection from UV damage. I'm in Arizona and my truck is outside all the day and all the night. I should mention in case my son is reading this that this situation has come about because he has my garage completely full of his 73 crap. Thanks.

Jor....I double checked the labels on the container..says nothing one way or the other about UV protection.I can say this...I have 2 coats of it on my red Dodge..applied about 4 weeks ago and the truck shines like I just polished it..Both the Dodge and Ford sit in the Georgia weather year around.
