Had two of these in my box of small parts in my Scarebird shipment for a 69 F100. Didn't seem to have an obvious home on the Dodge rotors or on the old spindle, and everything fit just fine without them. So what are they?
Thanks in advance...
Geoff

Re: Unidentified Scarebird Part Question
Spacers for the front of the rotor to center the wheels, maybe?

Re: Unidentified Scarebird Part Question
Dave,
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! Just got this back from Scarebird...
If you are running the stock rims they center the rims on the rotor.

But let me ask a question which shows I have no clue what I'm doing...don't the lugs themselves center the wheel?

Re: Unidentified Scarebird Part Question
You want the support to be on the center of the rim and not on the studs.....I've seen people that ran rims that had all the weight of the vehicle on just the studs break them off....... ........which reminds me of what I forgot to do........I need spin out a pair of adapters for my Wheel Vintiques 62's on my bump that don't fit the hub.........

Re: Unidentified Scarebird Part Question
Notice Scarebird's qualifier "if you are running stock wheels". Most aftermarket wheels are lug centric and don't center on the hub. Is it better to use the spacers? Probably but if they were absolutely necessary we would be seeing vehicle specific custom wheels.
