Sure this has been discussed, but hoping its an easy answer from the professionals. What I have/had on the truck. I have a tail light with three wires that seem to be as follows: reverse, run and turn. Then a second light fixture on top of a round stop light. So I ordered a new set of fixtures from Mac's as I want to be more original and not have the second fixture. The new fixture has two wires and what looks to be a two element bulb. I'm lost...
Can someone give me direction as to where/how to start?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Wiring Up Tail Lights
I believe the top bulb (two filament bulb) should take the turn signal/stop wire and the lights on wire.
The bottom bulb should take the reverse wire.

Hope this helps!

Re: Wiring Up Tail Lights
So the new fixture only has one bulb, two wires. My guess is its stop, turn and run all in one... don't care about reverse and that's what the lights on the truck had.

Ah, I misunderstood. Then yes it should run those three things. Odd that it didn't come with a reverse light spot...

Re: Wiring Up Tail Lights
The replacement from Mac's is the 66 and before version. One filament is used for turn signal and stop signal. The other filament is used for when your lights are on. (The 67 works like this also)
If you don't care about your reverse lights it will work just fine.
