bucket seats
I have a 68 and know that bucket seats were an option and that they are Mustang buckets on special brackets....but I was curious the actual history of them in our trucks. I'm sure someone hear knows.

Re: bucket seats
The bucket seats from the Mustang's were the bucket seat options on the trucks of the '68-72 generation (bumpsides ) http://www.fordification.com/tech/bucketseats.htm I believe they were also the bucket seat option in the Falcons, Comets and Mavericks too but I could be mistaken about that.

Re: bucket seats
I have never really thought of it till I was driving it today but the factory seats in my 77 bronco look just like mustang buckets. Are they the same and would the driver side bracket be the same as trucks. I know the passager side ain't from foldin up for rear seat entry. Don't no why never noticed it till today.

Re: bucket seats
got a copy of the latest LMC truck catalog in the mail yesterday. on the back cover they list a complete seat system for these trucks. now it is TMI which is Very good stuff i used their upholstery in a old bug that i had years ago. but for the price that they are asking $ 800 plus and the only choice you get is the color of the thread.? the brackets are extra plus shipping.they offer a console if you go with the buckets. and a split bench setup.it looks nice, but i think i will keep looking for Mustang or Bronco seats.
