gauges won't work with lights on

390FE w/ c6
All of my gauges (full instrumentation, not idiot lights) work fine until the headlights are on. When the headlights are turned on, the rheostat on the headlight switch will adjust how the gauges read. When the dash lights are at full brightness the gauges nearly peak full. When the dash lights are fully dimmed the gauges read normal.

I think you have serious grounding problems. Have you checked your engine to body and engine to battery grounds?
