New Radio and speaker

Good evening everyone. Just wondering if someone could help me out. I bought a JVC AM/FM radio (Model KD X330BTS) from a local dealer/installer and a 6" by 9" speaker from LMC. I have no idea what to do to make this work. I'm going to mount the stereo under the dash and leave the original in it's place. I'll also remove the old speaker that had the wires ripped off it and replace with the new. The radio came with a wiring harness but the speaker came with only four wires with different connectors. How do i connect to power etc in truck and how do i connect to speaker? Thanks.

Any direction would be greatly appreciated. I did see a thread under interior that was helpful but still not sure how to connect radio to truck electrical.

What I'm wondering is if i can cut the connectors on the end of the speaker wires and twist connect them to the wiring harness wires (and tape). Also, how do i connect the power and accessories wiring properly? Thanks

The radio is going to have 4 channel speaker wiring (right front, left front, right rear, left rear.) I'm not sure why the speaker has 4 wires; most 6X9 speakers have only two wires. Unless that speaker is divided somehow to have both a right and left channel.
I would wire the radio to the speaker leads as right and left front and then keep the radio fader on the front speakers.

That may be a dual voice coil speaker.

Can you give us a link to the speaker?

The radio should have a wiring diagram with it - no?

Is this the only speaker you are going to run?

EDIT: is the speaker you have "Part # 48-8565 - DUAL VOICE COIL SPEAKER 6"X9" At 59.95 Each."?

Sorry I'm late in replying. Been at the fair all weekend with 4-h. Yes its the 48-8565 from LMC Truck.

Keeping in mind I've never seen that actual speaker, but the description indicates it is intended for use in the factory location with a factory radio, so thats probably the connectors it has.

You would simply wire it into the right and left out puts of your radio following a the 2 channel wiring scheme in your radio owners manual. (assuming you're only running the one speaker).

Thanks for the help. I think i've got the wiring destinations down now. Just not sure how to splice into accessories. Already had he power wire for the old radio and ground to frame and speakers ok. How do i connect to accessories.

I'm not completely clear on what you are asking...

Are you looking for a switched 12V for the red wire?

I had the exact same thing in my 68' and I'm now in the process of doing the change out to my 72' I just got. What accessories are you trying to hook up? If the radio is a blue tooth one like mine you'll have a single 3.5 audio in on the back of the radio and the little mic it comes with plugs into this to be mounted somewhere in the truck near you, it usually has adhesive on the back of the mic stand. Aside from power and ground that's all you really have to get from the truck to the radio for it to work.
