Carpet is molded, so laying a stock carpet out and expecting to get a roll of carpet to match, isn't going to happen. Why not find a rubber mat made to fit?? They aren't cheap either, quality ones are as much as carpet. But . . I bought a OEM rubber mat for an 80s Ford and adapted it to one of my trucks, my '79. I didn't want to spend much on the '79, so found one on ebay. Cost me $50.

How would we analyze the alternative for carpet and flooring?

glad someone asked this question, and im glad I saw it. ive been mauling this over in my head for a while now. I love my truck I mean its bad ass but I just cant get myself to buy 2-300 dollar carpet from a parts book when I know it will look like crap soon. the cheap carpet job the PO did to is starting to look ragged. and I would like to find a nice easy to clean rubber mat that fits my truck but previous classics ive tried rubber in have turned out to be crap. but ive never tried em in a truck.

where is a good place to find some affordable quality rubber roles that u could cut to fit my truck? hardware store, army surplus, farming hardware store?

ACC, Auto Custom Carpets . . they sell quality molded replacement carpet, not cheap. And they also sell molded rubber mats .

You can purchase ACC products from Rock Auto cheaper than ACC sells them. BUT, you have to know what you want as far as part number to be sure you get what you want.

Stock Interiors also sells ACC products. The last time I checked they are cheaper than buying direct from ACC.

You'll probably get better customer service from Stock Interiors too. Rock Auto's good for prices but there's no real support before the purchase. I've had a couple of issues after the sale that they've dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
