no brake lights and weird emergency flashers
OK, My brake lights are blowing fuses. I have no back up lights, my parking lights work, no emergency flashers when I just pull the knob but if I put either of my turn signals on with the flasher knob pulled out the emergency indicators on the inside of cab work but only the turn signals work on the outside depending if I have the L or R turn signal on. I don't know where to start. Help, thanks 1970 F250, this is an automatic and I don't have a nutral safety switch installed because I can start it in any gear. I don't know if that nss has anything to do with the prob?

There are a few things I would look at:
1) Blowing fuses means you're going straight to ground somewhere. Have you checked your wiring in the rear of the truck? Have you checked the brake light switch itself?
2) How is your turn signal switch? I've had so many electrical problems traced back to that location that I can't even remember them all.
3) Unsure on if the NSS would be the cause of this...

That's exactly what mine did. I replaced the turn signal switch, and everything works fine now. Not a terribly difficult repair, you just need a steering wheel puller, and a piece of sturdy wire (or an old coat hanger) to fish the new wires through the column.

x2 on the TSS. Everything that you've mentioned is funneled through that switch. If you do replace the switch, just be sure you get the correct one for the year of your truck as they are different. I bought mine from NPD.
