Sending Unit Slosh

Post by kmcypress »

I've recently installed a painless performance wiring kit, new fuel sender, and new omega gauges. The fuel sender will read correctly but will bounce around and fluctuate like crazy while driving. Prior to installing these items, I never had my fuel gauge working so I don't know if that's fairly typical or not. I know there's also no baffling in the OE tank which plays a role but there severity of how much it moves is driving me nuts! Is their some sort of anti-slosh module or voltage regulator that I can install? Or is there actually an issue with my wiring?

It's just the nature of the beast. As you're driving, stopping, turning the fuel is moving causing the float to move. Even my '93 does it to a certain extent.
