alternator conversion
I'm restoring a 67 f100 and i have replaced the original alternator with external voltage regulator with a one wire alternator. My question is what do i do with the extra wires that the new alternator doesn't need, and the voltage regulator itself for that matter? Thanks

Re: alternator conversion
I put a one wire chebby alternator on my old EB, (love the simplicity of them-especially on a swamp buggy that went 30 miles from the nearest paved road) and just cut the old four wire alternator harness out and insulated the ends of the wiring.
I wouldn't cut them back too far as you might want to go back to them someday.

Re: alternator conversion
The red and yellow wires go to the ammeter gauge can be taped up incase you want to use them later. If you get your ammeter guage converted to a volt meter you can use them two wires. Or you could wire them into a aftermarket gauge I don't think there is much need for the rest of the wires.
