Reverse light switch on converted 3 on floor

Post by mjmoog68 »

Hi,

I have a 68 F100 with a 360 5.9 ltr. It has the original 3 speed 3.03 transmission in it. Originally it had 3 on tree, but the previous owner converted to 3 on the floor. Realized the backup lights don't work. I found the switch hanging in the engine bay near the steering column. It works, however it doesn't do me much good, just hanging there.

Does anyone have recommendation on the best way to mount the switch that has been converted to 3 on the floor?
Do I need to buy a different switch and or mounting bracket?
Where should the new one be located?

Thanks for the help,

What kind of shifter?

Most have brackets or adapters for a switch.
