Intermittent Wiper control
Looking at the possibility of converting my windshield wipers to intermittent. I am aware that late model F100 and F150 intermittend switches are easy to accomplish, however I have tried two of these units that I found recently and both were non operable. There is another post where it was mentioned that Scott Drake is reproducing an intermittent dely unit for mustangs and physically they look like they should fit. However after contacting several suppliers the switches are on back order with no date as to when they would be available. So my third option is to use a Cole Hersee type self contained unit. any thoughts or has someone used either or come up with a different approach?

Scott Drake is a horrible organization when it comes to debuting new products without having production set up to actually make the parts. See Bobbyford's shaker fiasco thread.
Not sure why the silver box wouldn't work other than packaging and wiring it. One very serious concern on important safety equipment is what is your fallback plan when the device fails and it's no longer available? One nice thing about the Ford setup is you can retrograde back to the original switch setup easily.
Personally I'd keep looking for the factory intermittent in the very early 80's trucks or NOS off eBay. I have one spare module myself and love the intermittent wipers.

Re: Intermittent Wiper control
That is a very good point and I have a spare wire hanesses that I intended to modify to utilize the Cole Hersee unit, in effect making it a plug and play affair. These units have been around for years and are used in everything from buses to tractors. However if they do become hard to find at some point I could always go back to stock. I will try these to see if it will work and will post an update. Thanks for the feedback.

Re: Intermittent Wiper control
I have the Crescent Moon harness plug, and non-working intermittent box as used on '81 F100s and full size AMCs and Jeeps from @'74 till the '87 Grand Wagoneer dash change. The old switch was worn out (currently still in the dash of my AMC Eagle) and I will pull it out one day soon I'm sure. There is an Echlin replacement switch but no timer. My new switch and pulse timer box switch is currently hanging and needs to be tucked away so it will be soon.
