1971 Reinstalling original steering wheel....wire connections?
When I bought the '71 F250, it had an aftermarket mini-steering wheel. I found an original on Ebay, have restored it, repainted it and am in the process of reinstalling it. My question is of the two wires from the horn "button" where does the ground wire fit? It has an end on it that looks like it should fit in a thin, wide opening somewhere, but I don't see it. I see the other fitted end goes on a male fitting extending from the ring on the underside of the wheel. But where does the ground wire go? Dan

Well, the answer turns out to be that the ground wire from the horn assembly is inserted in one of the two threaded holes for the steering wheel removal bolts. Also had to replace the horn relay, and now the horn works great.
