Where can I get parking/running lights?

Post by Cal2121 »

I have a 68 F250 and the parking/running lights on the front and rear are missing. I checked LMC and Dennis Carpenter, but didn't see them. Anyone know where I can get replacements?

Thank you

I don't know about DC, but LMC does list the tail light lenses, buckets (housings) and gaskets, all sold separately. They seem to only sell the lenses and gaskets for the parklights though. Pages 155 - 157 in their online catalog. Have you checked on eBay? Might be some there.

The front parking lights are a part of the grille assembly from '67 to '69. http://www.fordification.com/tech/67-72ID_01.htm That's why you're only finding lenses and gaskets.

Thanks guys. Just so I'm clear (not sure I was before), I'm talking about the little lights on the front quarter panels that are near the headlights, but not part of the grille or on the front. The rear lights or maybe they are just reflectors are on the rear quarter panels near the back but still on the side. I'll take a look at the sites/pages you mentioned.

Thanks again.

Are you talking about the reflectors on the hood and the reflectors on the Quarter panels be more specific. I don't know of any factory lights by the headlights maybe aftermarket.

Ok spook to soon you are talking about the clearance light the fender. Here's a pic. The back one is a reflector.

Thank you for the picture. I am talking about (1) the light on the side just above the front wheel well and (2) the reflector on the side behind the rear wheel well. Sorry for my bad description.

Here's a link to LMC for the rear reflector http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/fb/full.aspx?Page=157 Don't know of any light above the front wheel well. Maybe I'm missing something. Or are you talking about the hood emblems with reflectors.

Great. Thank you for that. I must have looked right over it. The lights I am referencing are shown in your picture. They are on the front quarter panel about 3-4 inches behind the chrome piece that is part of the headlight/grille and below the chrome body strip that runs the length of the truck.
